Pendants for Ashes of Loved One

Pendants for Ashes of Loved One

Losing someone you love, be they a family member, friend, or beloved pet, is perhaps one of the most difficult things that you will ever have to face. You may never be able to fill the hole that the individual has left in your life, but you can try to ease some of your emotional pain by choosing to keep a part of them close to you at all times in one of our beautifully designed funeral ashes pendants.

A LIFELONG KEEPSAKE TO CHERISH FOREVER

Not to be confused with jewellery made out of the remains of a loved one, such as when ashes are compressed into diamonds or crafted into a piece of glass, cremation jewellery and the concept of carrying a portion of your loved one with you after their passing, has been around for many hundreds of years. In the 16th century, people carried with them a piece of jewellery called a ‘memento mori’ which when translated from Latin means ‘remember that you must die’. Although these pieces of jewellery were not connected to the passing away of any single individual, in particular, they served as a reminder of the inevitability of passing away so that the wearer would approach each new day with vigor and as a blessing. Later, in 1861 the idea of cremation jewellery as we know it today was born, when Queen Victoria immortalized the memory of her dear husband, Prince Albert, by enclosing a lock of his hair alongside his picture in a locket that she then wore around her neck. As the years went by, people began to use other totems in their pendants to help them to remember their loved ones, including their ashes, a practice that has grown in popularity until this very day.

PROVIDING COMFORT AND STRENGTH

Grief can be an all-consuming process and one that takes many years to heal from. Although no amount of Ashes Infused Pendants will ever bring a person or a beloved pet back, many people find that they are able to seek significant comfort from the knowledge that a small part of the one that they have lost lies close to their heart. As well as providing reassurance and comfort throughout the grieving process, many people also believe that wearing cremation jewellery can provide them with a sense of spiritual strength and power helping them through tough times and in many aspects of their daily lives. Because only a very small portion of the person’s ashes are actually encapsulated within a pendant urn, this means that multiple family members can benefit from the healing powers of Pendants for ashes of loved one, feeling connected as one to the loved one that they have lost.
